I'm Jealous!

I received the new Kindle for Christmas and I love it. I love downloading books and taking them everywhere without lugging heavy books. I love that there are hundreds of books available. It can be dangerous, though to have one-click purchasing...

And now I'm jealous of the new ipad. Name aside, it is a marvelous piece of technology.

No tiny keypad. No pressing the "next page" button. Except for the power button, no buttons at all! And it's in color. Books look like real books. Pages flip similar to a physical book.

The Kindle is great, but it doesn't compare. It's not just the thousands of apps available, or that you can watch movies and surf the web. The Kindle has internet access also. (Like dial-up...)

It's simply a beautiful machine. It doesn't force you to change how you do things; it adapts to you. The display turns as you turn the ipad, and it learns your touch.

The ipad isn't out yet and Apple has released the programming info. Thousands of new apps are probably already in the works.

I've been waiting for the iphone to be released for other carriers, and now I have to think of some reason to have the ipad. Maybe I should just keep telling myself that it all costs money: apps, books, movies, etc. The $499 is just the beginning. I'll be constantly purchasing after that.

I'm still jealous.
